My Ulta Haul

So I recently went to Ulta and purchased a few items. As I promised here is the picks on the 3 major products I purchased there. Above is the link to my video I did on YouTube based on this haul. So I was excited to purchase these three items from Cargo. Mind you I have never bought anything from this brand except a kit I bought a few years ago for my sis-n-law. So I had gone to Ulta to find a powder foundation. I adore liquid foundation but sometimes i need a quick application but that will give good coverage. So the girl told be about the Cargo Blu Ray Pressed Powder. She applied it on me and i loved the coverage. She then showed me the concealer and also the primer. I was sold and did my purchase. Here are a few pics of the products:

 Here is a swatch of the powder and concealer. The powder is on the left and concealer on the right. Due to the flash on the camera i used it made it look a bit more light than it is.

Love the application and so far while i did this video it stood up to its claims.
I did notice that i did get oily so i figured it could be the primer since it does moisturize your skin. I totally love the primer since its silicone free.
The actual test was on Thanksgiving when i took pictures with these products on.

 Well in this picture I'm with my 2 lil ones. Here the flash is really making us white but it actually came out better in the actual photo. Here i had just applied the makeup and so everything is looking good :)

Anyways, here you can see my face looks lighter while my neck and chest are darker. I was really disappointed with this since in person it looked like it matched my skin. Also if you notice i look shiny. That is a big NO NO for me.

So in conclusion i ended up returning all 3 products. Did they do what the product said it would? Kinda.

The Blu_Ray Pressed Powder works wonders if your going to use it as a setting powder but if your going to use it as the main foundation, NO! I just felt like an oil slick afterwards and i hate that feeling. It gives great coverage but by itself i don't recommend it to combo/oily skin. If your using it as a finishing powder than i recommend it to every skin type.

The One Base (Concealer + Foundation In One) is awesome. It blends so good on your skin and you never can tell you have it on. Unfortunately it looks like the color i had was lighter than my skin and it just didn't work out. I loved that i only applied it where needed and i looked flawless. The lasting power is not good either. By 6 hours i looked like an oil rig and no makeup whatsoever. Whatever i covered hours before where so apparent by the 5th to the 6th hour.

The Activating Face Primer is a silicone free primer. Its water based and when you apply it, you get a cooling sensation on contact. It doesn't feel heavy or greasy. Its wonderful but for me, since i have combo/oily skin , didn't work since it does give you moisture. Maybe if i didn't wear moisturizer then it would have worked.

So in all fairness i believe this products work but you have to figure out how they will work for YOU.

Our New Addition to the family!!!

 I would love to introduce Bella to all of you. She is our new addition to our family. She will be doggy #5. I know what your thinking,"Are they nuts"? Maybe we are but we love our four legged friends. She is so adorable and fits right in our crazy and weird familia :)

She is 7 weeks old and is a girl. Obviously the reason we gave her a girl name. I chose the name and i just don't know why i did but it stuck. She was born on September 22, 2011. I would tell you her sign but i cant think of it right now,lol. She is a chihuahua maltipoo. In other words, she is a chihuahua Maltese poodle mix. To some she might be a mutt but to us she is special.

She loves playing with the kids and our other 4 legged buddies. I will try to upload pictures of our other doggies. I pretty much think she has more of the Maltese and poodle than chihuahua. That's OK though.

Well I hope you were excited to meet Bella!! She is an early Christmas gift from my hubby to me :) You gotta love my hubby!!! I know this blog today was not about makeup and beauty bargains but i wanted to share this with all of you. Well talk to you to more and have an awesome night.

Update on my life!!!

This is my beautiful Family on Halloween. I have been so busy that i have not been blogging but I'm starting to get in the groove again :)  As you can tell my Lil boy was spider man and he is on a daily basis. My daughter was Frankie Stein from Monster High!!! Both my daughter and I are big fans of Monster High. My oldest boy dressed up as a gorilla. My hubby went dressed up as Daddy!!!

This is my hubby and I. This pick makes me look like i gained 5-10 pounds and that is not true!! It was a cold night so I thought i should layer clothes on, big Mistake!! Aside from that I did cut my long hair as you can tell but many of you might have noticed already if you keep up with me on YouTube.

So this is my Sis and her hubby with my adorable Nephew Jake. He has grown so much and is the cutest monkey ever. Love him to pieces. It was amazing watching my hubby spend time with his first nephew and how Jake loved being with his uncle. Beautiful family,don't you think?

So I'm going to be doing more videos this week on YouTube and blogging about it as well. I hate that i ignored my blog all this time but now I'm here and staying. Stay tuned for my upcoming love for a foundation that is AWESOME and yet cost less than $12.  Amazing, right? Well i hope you enjoy this Lil blog and will be talking to you soon. My New Nephew!!!

This is my first nephew!!!! I have 4 nieces and finally a nephew. I'm visiting my sis and this gorgeous boy today at the hospital. This is my sis first child and it's such an amazing feeling to know she finally got what she wanted. My kids are excited of having their first boy cousin. These are the beautiful moments in life you have to cherish. Talk to you soon. I will try to post more pics after my visit at the hospital!!

Welcome!!!!

Hi,
So this is my first official post!! I have been wanting to set up my blog for quite a while. I finally got around to it especially since i was able to set aside sometime while my kids play. This blog will pretty much be about my daily life and also about my obsession with Makeup. I'm trying to start exposing myself to the makeup and beauty community and enjoy the talent and experience i have. Mind you I'm not a pro but i know what I'm doing. I still have lots of room to grow but that is why I'm doing this. I have a YouTube account that i have uploaded videos on makeup and beauty. I'm getting better at it as well. I also love hunting for bargains on makeup and beauty essentials!! Who doesn't love a bargain especially in this economy.
